Job Description

As the UK Consumer Insight Manager you will be responsible for supporting the UK Marketing Team in building stronger brands, category growth and excellent business results. 

Reporting into the UK Marketing Director you will help to build a more consumer-led business and facilitate brand growth with clear and inspiring consumer, shopper and category insights

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all consumer-based research for the UK across the portfolio of brands & coffee category whilst ensuring consistency with Global guidelines
  • Be a strong Partner to the Marketing team. Develop, manage and execute research plans to support strategy and ensure the consumer is at the heart of decision making across brand development, communication and NPD.
  • Generate consumer and category understanding and insights to identify opportunities for growth and instil a clarity and depth of understanding across the organisation
  • Facilitate stronger business impact, efficiency and clarity through leading continuous data transformation & optimisation
  • Seek out new ways of getting close to the consumer, be at the forefront of agile and innovative research techniques and bring new research ideas and approaches to the business.
  • Collaborating with Category and Shopper Marketing teams to ensure aligned actions and implications from insights across teams
  • Leverage globally implemented studies and tools for local insights and working with Global teams to ensure knowledge sharing and alignment on UK category and consumer behavioural understanding

Qualifications

  • Must have demonstrable FMCG Consumer Insight/Market Research industry experience in a management or leadership role
  • A strong passion for the consumer and the ability to inspire and provoke with consumer understanding across the business and cross-functional teams
  • Trusted team player with strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organisation
  • Managerial experience in leading and growing a team.
  • Expertise in delivering insights and recommendations from both traditional and emerging qual and quant techniques
  • Strong understanding and experience of analytical tools (Market Mix Modelling, Pricing & Promo)
  • Experienced in continuous data (Nielsen, Kantar, GFK, brand tracking) and optimisation / automated tools to facilitate greater business impact and efficiency
