Job Description

As Brand Manager, Instant you’ll be part of the thriving Instant marketing team which forms part of the wider retail marketing business. You’ll report directly to the Instant Category Manager, whilst working with other departments such Sales, Category, Media and Consumer Insight to deliver the shared goals for your category.

You’ll be responsible for executing the in-year Instant strategy, leading innovation projects and NPD from concept development through to launch, driving ATL/BTL media and shopper marketing activation, regularly reporting on performance – and effectively managing a portfolio of brands.

You’ll also support on crafting the future instant category strategy, using in-depth market analysis, data and insights, all your knowledge of brand development and growth generation – and the expertise you’ll gain of the Instant Coffee Category in the UK over your time in the role.

This role requires someone with good experience in FMCG who can hit the ground running and get up to speed quickly. With strong leadership capabilities, you’ll be able to work autonomously and take the initiative – whilst also being a strong team player – effectively communicating, collaborating and building strong relationships with internal teams (both locally and globally) as well as external agencies.

Key responsibilities of the role:  

  • Managing a portfolio of brands in the category
  • Leading innovation projects/NPD from concept development through to launch, with cross-functional project management
  • Working with media teams to influence and execute ATL/BTL media and shopper marketing
  • Lead on sustainability initiatives and future roadmap for brands
  • Support Category Lead with instant category and portfolio strategy
  • Managing strategic stakeholders (local teams, global teams and agency partners)
  •  Regularly report on category and brand performance

Qualifications

  • Strong FMCG marketing/brand management experience
  • Good ATL/BTL media and shopper activation experience
  • Passion for brands
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with an ability to build positive relationships
  • Commercially astute with an ability to read and interpret P&Ls
  • Able to use and interpret data/insight systems such as Nielsen/Kantar
  • Positive, energetic ‘can do’ attitude and growth mindset
  • Strong organizer, able to influence others
