Financial Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a fixed term Senior Financial Analyst (known internally as Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist) to backfill one of our analysts who's currently on secondment. 

As our Financial Analyst, you will be the key commercial support person for the innovative eCommerce and breakthrough customers, by overseeing their P&L and providing insightful analysis, particularly for new promotions or activations.

You will also assist in the compiling & submission of the month-end reporting deck (MRD), month-end assistance with inbound logistics and providing ad hoc analysis and decision support to the Commercial Finance Manager. 

Additionally, you will:

  • Prepare the Sales and profitability analysis for eCommerce and Breakthrough Channels
  • Prepare the monthly reporting deck
  • Prepare & upload the monthly consolidation of the forecast 
  • Prepare journals & balance sheet reconciliation for inbound logistics
  • Work on continuous improvement on current processes and challenge the status quo

For this role as a Financial Analyst, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • Accounting or Finance degree (CA or CPA qualification preferred)
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar role 
  • Experience in an international FMCG environment will be highly advantageous
  • Advanced systems skills, including Excel and preferably SAP
  • Valid Australian work rights
  • Full-time availability until October 6th
